SALE RESULTS THURSDAY 1/22/26: Special Feeder & All Class Cattle Sale
Total Sold: 2,193
Thursday’s sale delivered strong results in the feeder calf market. With nearly 2,000 feeder calves consigned, the offering featured high-quality lots that continue to draw aggressive buyer interest.
The weigh-up cattle added momentum to the day, with approximately 290 head of cows and bulls across the scales. Demand was especially notable for lightweight calves, as nearly 60 head averaging 270–300 lbs brought an impressive $590–$735/cwt.
Strong consignments, active buyers, and solid market confidence combined to make this sale a standout. Thank you to our consignors, buyers, and community for helping drive another successful market.
Heifer Calves: $305/cwt-$630/cwt
Stoddard Ranch of Monteview, ID sold 35 black heifers weighing 429 lbs, for $480/cwt. Dick Hirschy of Wisdom, MT sold 28 mixed heifers averaging 270 lbs, for $590/cwt.
Steer Calves: $348/cwt-$735/cwt
Elk Meadows Ranch from Dell, consigned 18 black steer calves, weighing 369 lbs, that brought $635/cwt. Centennial Livestock from Dillon, sold 23 black steers that averaged 520 lbs for $503/cwt. Brent Hillman sold 81 black steers that averaged 780 lbs, and brought $357/cwt.
Weigh Up Cows: $135/cwt-$279/cwt
Foster Cattle from Rigby, ID sold 31 black cows that averaged 1,293 lbs for $175/cwt.
Weigh Up Bulls: $115/cwt-$192/cwt
Ashley Pepion from Browning, MT sold 3 black bulls that averaged 1,752 lbs for $179/cwt.

DSA Cattle
Cattle consigned from within Brucellosis Designated Surveillance Areas (DSA) must undergo testing before being sold. To ensure efficient processing of your cattle, please ensure that consigned cattle from within DSA boundaries arrive at the sale yard by at least the Wednesday preceding our Thursday sale day. More simply, please bring DSA cattle to the sale yard at least the day prior to the sale.
